6. Design

Parsons School of Design- Pre college 

With Parsons’ pre-college summer programs, students of ages 16- 18 years can make the most of their summer in New York with art and design programs across a range of disciplines. Rising junior and senior high schoolers dive deep into creative practices such as fine arts, illustration, photography, animation, graphic design, fashion design, product design, architecture, interior design, and design management in this intensive three-week, three-credit program. The program is also offered in Paris.

7. Entrepreneurship 

Knowledge@Wharton HIgh School

The Wharton Summer High School Programs are immersive experiences for students currently enrolled in grades 9–11. Led by Wharton faculty and instructional staff, programs explore topics that align with Wharton research and teaching. Pre-college students engage with Wharton’s rigorous business education and get the chance to study and network with global peers.

Babson College- Introduction to the Entrepreneurial Experience (Pre college- 16+)

Babson Summer Study is a 3.5-week experiential program (currently online-only) for rising high school juniors and seniors to develop as entrepreneurial leaders. You will cultivate core career skills and a sharp entrepreneurial mindset for overcoming challenges in any organization, in any role—all while working with peers from around the globe and earning 4 college credits from a top-ranked college for entrepreneurship.

8. Creative Writing 

NYU’s Writers in Florence

NYU’s summer intensive writing program (8 college credits) is open to all NYU and non-NYU students. Classes are taught by writers and students can choose to study poetry, fiction, or nonfiction. Students experience the splendor of the Italian Renaissance as they are exposed to the cultural wealth of Florence. World famous for its piazzas, palaces, churches, and museums, it is also close to the picturesque Tuscan countryside. The program organizes excursions within Florence and to other celebrated Tuscan and Italian cities. The program is also offered in Paris and New York.

9. Psychology 

Cornell University

Cornell University Summer Session (currently held entirely online) offers hundreds of regular Cornell courses taught by outstanding university faculty members. Enrollment is open to all—from undergrads to high school students, professionals, alumni, and any interested adult. During any of the summer sessions, you can benefit from small classes, really get to know your professors, and meet interesting people from around the world. With choices of 3, 6, or 8-week sessions, most classes leave time for travel or a summer job.

10. History 

Oxford Summer Courses

Oxford’s summer courses are open to all students of different age groups, from 9 years upto 24 years. Through a mix of solo study and collaborative group sessions, students will learn about ancient, medieval or modern topics as diverse as the fall of the Roman Empire, the Tudors and the World Wars. The program will also cover analysing different sources, sorting factual accounts from biased ones and strengthen our debating skills as amateur historians. The program features tutorial style teaching- your expert tutor will foster self-directed learning and critical thinking through interactive seminars in small groups. On completion of the course, students will receive a certificate and letter of recommendation from their tutors.
